The Email Inclusion List tab defines who may use the Email Gateway. You can grant access to a domain (all users in the domain are included) and to individual users. When this list is blank, all your email clients can use the Email Gateway. The factory default setting grants all email users access rights.

The Gateway first makes sure the address or domain of the incoming email is in the inclusion list. If not (and the list is not empty), the email is not processed. If the incoming email passes the “inclusion” test, then the Gateway makes sure the address or domain of the incoming email is not in the exclusion list. If it is in the exclusion list, the email is not processed.

The following settings are available on this page:

Inclusion File – displays the path and file name of the file where the list of included email addresses and domains is stored.

Browse – click this button to bring up a file dialog that allows you to select an inclusion list file, or type in the file name.

List – the list contains one column. The items in the list are either individual email addresses (i.e., bob@castelle.com) or entire domains (@castelle.com).

Add – use to bring up the Enter an Inclusion Item dialog box.

Enter an email address or domain to the list, then click OK to add the entry to the Email Inclusion List, or Cancel to abandon the entry. Domains entered must be preceded by an ‘@’ sign, (i.e. @domain.com). Click OK to add the entry. The entry will appear in the Inclusion Item list box.

Delete – click this button to delete the currently selected item.

Edit – click this button to bring up a dialog box that will allow you to modify the currently selected item. If you change the entry to be a domain, it must be proceeded by an @ sign.
